J-16: Confucius Quote on Work !!

"Find a job that you love doing and you will never have to work a day in your life." Confucius.

I think this quote means when someone can work in a career that he loves, he won't consider himself working since he is practicing something that he enjoy doing it. He may go early in the morning and stay all day long at work full of energy because this job will please him. Consequently, high and significant performance.

The quote is very true. Personally, I'm in a big struggle right now; my major is computer science but I don't really like it and not sure how my future going to be in a profession that I'm not willing to major in. Politics and international relations are very interesting to me, therefore I'm thinking seriously to switch my major to political science to be in a position that I love for the rest of my life.

Many people perhaps are in jobs they don't enjoy. The clues of that are being lazy, complaining constantly and counting days for the weekends and holidays.

The knotted question is: is it possible to love your job when it's involved somethings that you are not interested in? I HOPE IT IS.

Fukue, Natsuko. (2009). Japanese women still hitting a glass and bamboo ceiling in the boardroom. The Japan Times, Retrieved from http://search.japantimes.co.jp/cgi-bin/nb20091111a4.html

It's likely that Mr. Fukue used a quote to state his thesis. "The glass ceiling in boards of directors remains in Japanese large companies," Irene Natividad, chairwoman of CWDI, told reporters in Minato Ward, Tokyo.
The claim seems to be Policy.

His argument is appealing to reason 'logos' [better performance
for J-companies to be globally competitive].

Again he used a quote in his conclusion from same person.

What I think:
I think his approach in this argument is weak. His main arguing is to allow women to hold director positions in big Japanese companies in order to be successful and "globally competitive".
Well this claim is obviously not true; in his article he mentioned Toyota as an example of companies that doesn't have even one woman director. Clearly Toyota is one of world's biggest companies, it's 3rd globally according to Forbes ranking. Not only Toyota, but many other Japanese companies are already successful and competing all over the world. In addition, Japan is second largest economy in the world.
